My name is Shannise Jackson-Ndiaye and I am the author of Jerome and the Chicken Box, a children’s book about a chicken who dreams of becoming a world famous adventurer and flying the globe. I have been an educator for over thirteen years within the public school system. I have taught in three different cities and two states, and the challenges are very similar. I hold a M.Ed and MA in New Media Journalism. I am a passionate advocate for digital literacy and preparing students for the 21st century. I have spent the last two years blogging and writing about the digital divide, digital literacy, and race.
