As a thirty-five year veteran of governmental financial management, Ms. Pendergrass has a broad range of skills and experience with state and local governments. Ms. Pendergrass is a local government consultant in Kentucky, providing training and technical assistance to local government management teams. In her thirty-plus years in local government finance in Kentucky, she has served as chief financial officer for several Kentucky local governments, Local Government Advisor Chief for the Kentucky Department for Local Government, Director of Administration for the Ky Workers Compensation Funding Commission, and Director of Quality Assurance for the Ky State Auditor. She has also audited local government entities from the public accounting sector. Currently, she also serves as the local government elected representative on the Kentucky Retirement System Board of Trustees.
She has served on the AICPA Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee as well as several other committee and Task Force positions with the AICPA and the Ky Society of CPAs. She is an author of self-study governmental accounting and auditing courses for Bisk Education. She has also authored publications forThomson-Reuters, AICPA Continuing Education Division, and the Association of Government Accountants. She is a frequent discussion leader for national conferences and training sessions.
